The new Faith Lutheran Center in Rio Rancho is located in suites 116 & 117 in Southern Plaza at 2003 Southern Blvd SE, at Unser Blvd. Pr. David, Faith staff, the West Campus Property Team, and Dorman & Breen Architects coordinated with Britton Construction and skilled volunteers to make the necessary renovations and improvements to the new Faith Center in Rio Rancho. Britton Construction was gracious enough to allow for some "sweat equity" from Faith volunteers in accomplishing some of the tasks of renovation and most of the finish work. The Faith Lutheran Center in Rio Rancho is approximately 4500 sq ft and has classrooms; a nursery; full coffee bar & fellowship space; and the Sanctuary seats 100+. A new worship time of 10:30 am began with the inaugural service to allow for a 9:15 am Sunday School hour and the option to add a future service of worship at 8:00 am.
The inaugural service of worship, at the new Faith Lutheran Center, was celebrated by 128 brothers and sisters in Christ on New Years Day, 2012! NEW CAMPUS RENOVATION History: 01/01/2012 - OPEN for Dedication and Inaugural Service of Worship! 12/29/11 - We received our Certificate of Occupancy today! Thank you Britton Construction, Dorman & Breen Architects, all of the sub-contractors and volunteers! The first Sunday of worship will be on New Years Day at 10:30am! 12/27/11 - Finalization of all aspects of the renovation and final inspections are being called-in for the end of the week. MOVE-IN DAY is THURSDAY, December 29! 12/18/11 - Volunteers gathered in the last week to paint over 10,000 sq ft of wallspace! FInal systems installations are being made this week and final inspections are being called in. We expect to receive our Certificate of Occupancy from CORR soon! We are now scheduled to begin our move-in on Thursday, December 29. 12/10/11 - Drywall is complete and passed inspection. Tape, texture, lighting, and painting will happen in the coming week! VOLUNTEERS are needed for Painting in the evening (4-8pm) on December 14 & 16; and all day (9am-4pm) on December 17; & after worship (1:30-4pm) on the 18th! 12/02/11 - This week, we passed plumbing inspection, framing was completed and drywall has begun to be hung. 11/25/11 - Framing for the new classrooms and the new doorframes, connecting the suites, are installed. Electrical and lighting renovations are underway. 11/18/11 - Volunteers did some clean up and prepared the site for some demolition and framing by Britton Construction. 11/11/11 - The plan of "attack" has been laid out and the renovation has begun with some required demolition. Building supplies have been ordered and framing should begin in the coming week. 11/01/11 - Britton Construction has been given the "green light" by the Faith Lutheran Church Council to move-in and begin the remodel! They will start within 24 hours! 10/27/11 - This week: The altar platform was built, the coffee bar countertops were refinished, the worship center floors are being repaired, and the new Faith Lutheran Center sign was installed! 10/13/11 - We have the building permit! CORR approved our plans, with all of the required revisions and additions made to their satisfaction. 10/02/11 - Building Permit should be issued by CORR in the coming week and Britton Construction should be able to begin initial preparations for the renovation! Also, the initial furniture orders should start arriving at the Main Campus. 09/09/11 - The Permit Plan Review process is complete and the architect is answering the final questions from CORR before re-submitting the plans to clear the permit! We are also in negotiation for the final build price with the contractor. 08/15/11 - The Architectural Plans were submitted to the City of Rio Rancho (CORR) today for the Permit Plan Review process. |
